my woodland weekend

Friday: found my new favorite Thai spot.
Saturday: worked hard in the garden, laying paths and spreading seeds.
Sunday: went mushroom hunting in the woods with some success. This is going to be my new favorite Spring activity. You can now find me wandering around the forest in search of these tiny morel morsels. It's terribly exciting when you actually find one. Above is my latest splendor.

I am pretty smitten with most everything from Malutki, a new little jewelry shop on Etsy. Malutki (which I think means "tiny" in Polish) features simple, versatile and affordable adornments. I especially love their new zebrawood series. Plus, free shipping on everything, everywhere... "free shipping" just happens to be my two favorite shopping words. We made it! Portland to Chicago via: California-Arizona-New Mexico-Colorado-..and some boring states we drove straight through. Here are some choice photos from our little cross-country venture. It was a swell time. (Find me in the 2nd picture among the great Redwoods!)
